“Herukhuti” Sharif Williams, PhD., M.Ed., known as Dr. Herukhuti, is a hem netcher tepi (priest-conjurer-healer) in the Kemetic (ancient Egyptian) tradition and bodeme (peacemaker and healer) in the Dagara tradition. His work operates at the intersection of race, culture, sexuality and spirituality. He is the founder and chief erotics officer of the Center for Culture, Sexuality, and Spirituality (CCSS) and its website sacredsexualities.org. CCSS offers a variety of sex education services and resources including sex and relationship coaching, study groups, trainings, retreats, workshops, and educational materials.

Dr. Herukhuti, author of the book Conjuring Black Funk: Notes on Culture, Sexuality, and Spirituality, Volume I  (Vintage Entity Press) and co-editor of the award-winning anthology Recognize: The Voices of Bisexual Men (Bisexual Resource Center), holds a PhD and MA in human and organizational systems with a concentration in transformative learning for social justice and specializations in sexuality and cross-cultural studies of knowledge. He uses embodied practices and contemplative techniques of transformative learning as a sex educator and sacred sexuality practitioner. At Goddard College, he co-founded the world’s first sexuality studies program dedicated to promoting decolonizing sexuality and challenging the whiteness and Eurocentricity of the field.
